On behalf of my daughter and myself, we would like to thank Star of Texas Hospice for the kindness and compassion they showed to us in our loved one’s final days of life. The paperwork for hospice care had been signed for another hospice company but we realized we made a mistake and had taken the steps to transfer care to Star of Texas. Unfortunately, my daughter’s father passed away before the transfer paperwork was complete; however, in our time of need, it was Star of Texas that was there for us – even though they had not officially taken over the hospice care. The other company failed to show up when we needed them the most but Sherron with Star of Texas was right there with us to guide us through what was happening as our loved one passed and what we should expect with the facility, funeral home, etc.

My mother’s care with Star of Texas Hospice was three weeks long. I was very pleased with the care she received. Since she lived in an assisted living facility, a lot of her care was given by them as well. I will say the care given by Sonya was above excellent. My mother really enjoyed her visits because the care Sonya gave her during showers and sponge baths were times my mom looked forward to and raved about! That put me at ease.
Evangelinea (Gina) Olvera was on top of any issues or questions I had. She always made herself available for my phone calls and texts. Her attention to my mom’s medical care was exceptional. She helped me and my family understand what was happening physiologically to my mother, in a way we could understand. I learned from Gina which made my mother’s feelings make sense to me.
Celestine Woodson, our social worker was another one of your staff with whom I was very pleased. She was very caring and told me to call her day or night with any concerns.

A much overdue thank-you for the kindness and compassion you showed to us as my ex-husband and daughter’s father was in his last days of life. [family member] was a patient at the Medical Resort in Sugar Land and passed on 9/22/19. We had done the paperwork with another hospice and realized that we made a mistake and planned to transfer care to Star of Texas Hospice. He passed before the transfer but you were the one on the phone with us at 5:20am guiding us through the process.
